Rediscovering Identities and Belonging in Today’s Chinatown

Passionate community members of Chinatown are taking bold initiatives to break down the barriers of belonging and identities in a perceived traditionalist community. Featuring LSG co-chair Kimberley Wong and artist Paul Wong, this video explores ways to build more equitable and inclusive spaces within Chinatown for people to feel that they are seen, valued, and supported in the diversity. They also reveal how visible events like Pride in Chinatown illustrate what it means to build a welcoming community as well as cultivate opportunities for members to engage, celebrate, and share their voices.
